Seen&Heard is a non-profit serving all foster and system impacted youth in Los Angeles county. Seen&Heard’s 18 week professional development program targets social-emotional skills required for folks to retain employment. Youth who have experienced removal from their homes and exposure to the foster care and juvenile justice systems have a higher likelihood of unemployment, homelessness and other negative outcomes. Seen&Heard’s program is trauma informed, evidence based and creative. Youth ages 16-23 emerge stronger from the program with the social skills to handle stress at work, therefore more likely to experience stability and professional achievement.
