Prayerful Stitches

Prayerful Stitches is a Westwood small group that handcrafts prayer shawls, blankets, and comfort items for those in need, while welcoming newcomers to learn different patterns and techniques. Prayerful Stitches is much more than a sewing circle—it is a dedicated prayer response team. Members knit or crochet items that are delivered directly to individuals facing illness, grief, or life challenges, as well as to local hospitals. Most frequently, the group creates prayer shawls for anyone going through a difficult season, along with tiny caps and blankets for premature babies. Because materials can be expensive, support this ministry by donating materials of yarn and needles, ensuring members always have the supplies needed to craft these gifts of comfort.
