As a Los Angeles institution since 1921, the Los Angeles Urban League educates and empowers African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance and civil rights. LA Urban League seeks to make life changing transformations to people’s lives and businesses through its programs that target financial literacy for business owners and individuals as well as training for careers in construction, various types behind the camera work, logistics and transportation, and others areas. The LA Urban League also is a leading advocate for police reform, fair contracting and employment and health equity.
